Where many stop at a net and a mat, we approached the project as a complete fit-out:
- A hitting area calibrated to the millimetre
- A real, playable putting area, with slope and breaks
- A strong visual identity, designed to make you want to step into the room
The heart of the setup: Trackman
The Trackman radar is the absolute benchmark of the sector, used on the professional tours as well as in the most demanding academies.
In concrete terms, here is what it changes:
- Real ball-flight data, not estimates. Ball speed, launch angle, spin, angle of attack, face angle at impact.
- A library of courses from around the world to play a full round in 4 hours... or in 45 minutes.
- Structured training modules: Test Center, Combine, approach games, distance-by-distance work.
The impact screen spans the full width of the hitting area. The result is immersive: you are not looking at a screen, you are on the tee.
The putting green: the part too often overlooked
It is our signature and our original trade: synthetic grass.
On this project, the putting area was treated like a real green:
- High-density putting grass, with a controlled roll speed
- Higher-fringe contours to define the collar and practise chipped approaches
- Multiple holes to vary distances and lines
- Free-form cut, following the geometry of the room
A simulator without a short-game area is a driving range. A simulator with a playable green is a complete practice course. 60 % of the shots in a round are played from within 100 metres — so it makes sense to train accordingly.
The scenography: the element that makes the difference
It is often what sets an Addon Golf installation apart from a standard one.
The dark treatment. Walls and ceiling in a dark shade: projected contrast comes alive, immersion is total, and stray reflections disappear. With the lights off, you are in a cinema. With the lights on, the space remains elegant and professional.
The wall mural. An iconic image of golf in large format on the side wall, in black and white, giving the room soul and depth. It is a personalised choice, discussed with the client.
The quotation. A visual reminder on the side wall, at eye level from the hitting area. Because you don't come simply to hit balls: you come to improve.
The furniture. A dedicated console housing the control screen and storage, finished in Addon Golf colours, positioned out of the swing line.
Lighting: an underestimated technical subject
Two contradictory requirements to reconcile:
- Not polluting the projected image
- Lighting the hitting area sufficiently for comfort and safety
The answer: directional linear luminaires, set back from the projection field, with their beam aimed at the mat rather than the screen. The projector itself is ceiling-mounted in a calculated position to avoid any shadow of the player being cast on the screen.
How long does it take, and how much does it cost?
A project of this type usually unfolds over 4 to 8 weeks between plan approval and commissioning:
