À propos de l'événement

Jean Jacques Rivet has been a reference in sports biomecanics for many years. Known for his interventions with the best players in the world, on the PGA Tour or the European tour.

- Jean Jacques will explain his interventions with the best players in the world and the follow-up that can be implemented also applicable for the amateur world

- We will also talk about technology in teaching golf. Jean Jacques will present the force platforms of the Koparo company for which he works.

- We will also talk about the new TPT shafts that have shaken the shaft industry and for which JJ regularly intervenes

Jean-Jacques Rivet, physiotherapist, Master in Biomechanics (MSH2) and high level sportsman, teaching biomechanics to the master of sports engineering from the University of Aix-Marseille II, developed 2 totally innovative concepts, the concept Biomecaswing and Biomecasport.

Relying on a scientific method and an experience of more than 20 years spent on the various professional golf circuits of the PGA for golf, it combines knowledge of biomechanics applied to the understanding of the sporting gesture and the most recent technologies. of sports engineering. The computer-assisted biomechanical analysis of the swing that he developed, is coordinated with a morphological diagnosis and an assessment of physical condition. This comprehensive analysis shows each golfer his individual strengths and weaknesses under the Biomecaswing concept, and the equivalent under the Biomecasport concept for athletes from other disciplines.

It creates in this a basis for the establishment of a personal training program and the adaptation of equipment in relation to the sport considered, very specific.

In the 95s, Taylor Made was one of the first companies to use Jj Rivet's expertise in the field of applied biomechanics.

Their partnership continued with the arrival of adidas golf, and for 6 years JJ Rivet has been in charge of Innovation for UunderArmour Golf.

JJ Rivet has reinforced its gesture analysis concepts by adapting them to the different equipment of these brands, always with the same concern of optimizing performance.

At the same time, he created the Biomecasport concept, applied to other sports than golf, but which follows the same principle of gesture optimization via applied biomechanics.

Between 1998 and 2000 he collaborated with Dr Ferret in research applied to the prevention of trauma in football, via biomechanical support.

From 1998 to 2001 with the KTM team and the Schlesser Team, he was in charge of ergonomics and optimization of the physical performance of the pilots of these Teams, with 3 victories on the Dakar and 2 titles of World Champion of Rally Raid.

At that time, he created the first "biomechanical screenings", in order to prevent risks in piloting subject to fatigue, and solutions able to anticipate these problems and maintain an optimal level of performance.

After spending a year with Team Peugeot Sport in 2003 where he is involved via the Biomecasport concept of G Pannizi and R Burns (WRC World Champion 2003),

He turned mainly to golf with the creation of his applied biomechanics center within the magnificent Terre Blanche golf resort in 2004. This creation was an obvious meeting point between 2 men, guided by the same passion for sport: First of all, Mr. Dietmanr Hopp, owner of the resort and also owner of the Hoffenheim club with his avant-garde vision of sport, his determination to develop an exceptional resort that is both technological and aesthetic, and JJ Rivet, around his Biomecaswing concept.

The Biomecaswing Performance Center is both:

- an analysis center where the beginner or professional golfer will learn to know what his body is capable of doing in order to respect the mechanical rules that manage this sport. An analysis center where many athletes from different sports have gone through the part of an extra-golf analysis (*)

- a performance optimization center, where the athlete learns the solutions capable of maintaining what he is capable of producing

- a center for adapting his equipment to his physiology, to give more free rein to his pleasure in the game (mainly for golf)

- a unique training center, in collaboration with the coaches.

In 2008, the PGA European tour, spurred on by many Ryder Cup players to see biomechanics take pride of place in the daily services offered to circuit players, created a performance department: the "European Tour Performance Institute Advisory Board "alongside their" Physio "unit.

The mission of this department is to provide players on the professional circuit and their coaches with the latest technology to monitor and optimize their performance.

The PGA European Tour calls on the skills recognized at the highest level of JJ Rivet, who integrates this "European Tour Performance Institute Advisory Board" and is, since then, in charge of the applied biomechanics department.

JJ Rivet continues to work within the framework of Biomecasport with coaches from different sports, and centers specialized in monitoring professional athletes.

The Biomecaswing Performance Center has its Headquarter at Terre Blanche, and its referenced antennas are at

- Championsgate at David Leadbetter Headquarter

- Stoke Park London

- Shenzen (China)

- Seoul (Korea)

JJ Rivet is also the applied biomechanical expert for Golf Digest USA
